4236 - ABSENCE DUE TO LEGAL COMMITMENTS

JURY DUTY

Employees occasionally are called for jury duty. The difference in pay shall be paid by the Perry Board of Education if an employee must serve on jury duty.

BEING A WITNESS

If you are a subpoenaed witness, you will receive the difference in your pay and that received for being a witness, if any pay is received. This is not to exceed two (2) days.

NOT GUILTY DECISION

If an accusation has been made against a school employee and s/he is proved not guilty in a school lawsuit, the days in court shall be considered authorized absence with pay. If you are a plaintiff or defendant in a non-school suit, it is your own responsibility.
