The Board of Education recognizes the value to the District to obtain the services of quality staff members who may not be available on a full-time basis but wish to offer their knowledge and skills part-time through a job-sharing process. Shared-time positions may be approved in which two (2) currently employed staff members will be allowed to share one (1) full-time position.

The Board authorizes the Superintendent to consider a job-sharing program provided it does not adversely affect the School or any of its current staff members.

The School will consider job share requests only if the cost (including benefits) of employing two (2) staff members on a shared-time basis does not exceed the cost of employing one full-time staff member.

Shared-time positions may be approved in which two (2) currently employed staff members will be allowed to share one (1) full-time position. Each staff member will be given seniority credit based on the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
