Homework which provides additional practice away from the classroom is an important part of the learning process for the elementary through the secondary levels. The amounts of and specific types of homework to be assigned will vary with the grade and level of the student and is under the direct authority and supervision of the principal.

Homework should be assigned for the improvement of learning and not be used as a disciplinary measure or as busy work.
