5512 - USE OF TOBACCO
The Board of Education prohibits the use of tobacco by students on District premises, on building grounds, in District-owned vehicles, and at District-related events. Furthermore, in compliance with State regulations, the District is designated as a tobacco-free environment.
For purposes of this policy, use of tobacco shall mean all uses of tobacco, including cigar, cigarette, pipe, snuff, chewing tobacco, or any other matter or substance that contains tobacco.
The administration of each school building will take appropriate action in cases involving students who use tobacco in violation of this policy.
