The Board of Education believes that the purpose of education is to assist all students to reach their maximum potential. Each student has the right and the responsibility to make choices that contribute to the society as a whole, and to his/her individual benefit. Therefore, students need to be competent to choose from the myriad of actions that will impact their ability to be successful in an ever-changing society. A well-planned sequence of curricular and extra-curricular opportunities will be available to all students; and continuous progress will be the predominant focus of the school program.
