6621 - CASH CHANGE FUND

The School Board recognizes the convenience of a cash change fund in the day-to-day operation of the School District not to exceed $500.

The Board authorizes the establishment of a cash change fund by means of a check drawn on the District's General Fund in an amount designated by the Board. The fund shall be under the direction of the Superintendent who may designate a building cashier who shall be responsible for providing change as needed and for the safekeeping and accounting of cash change funds in their possession.

The Superintendent may request the Board to increase or decrease the amount of this fund appropriate to the need of the schools. When the fund is no longer needed, all remaining monies shall be returned to the General Fund.
