Bylaws & Policies
Unless a specific policy has been amended and the date the policy was revised is noted at the bottom of that policy, the Bylaws and Policies of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools were adopted on May 11, 2011 and were in effect beginning July 1, 2011.


The School Board shall maintain communication with parents, members of the community, vendors, and others involved with the District. Incoming calls during regular school hours to the District central office shall be answered by a District staff member and not by a computer-generated voice. This will provide for each caller's concern to be addressed in an expeditious manner.

If, under certain rare circumstances a staff member cannot be available to answer a telephone call to a District central office number, a computer message may be substituted provided the message instructs the caller how to access a District employee.
