Unless a specific policy has been amended and the date the policy was revised is noted at the bottom of that policy, the Bylaws and Policies of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools were adopted on May 11, 2011 and were in effect beginning July 1, 2011.


The Superintendent shall require that administrative staff members receive and sign an employment contract according to the legal requirements of the position.

All administrative staff members serving under an annual contract who are not recommended by the Superintendent for reappointment for the ensuing year shall be notified by certified mail that their services are to be terminated at the end of the current contractual period.

The Superintendent is authorized to execute employment contracts on behalf of the School Board.
