3420 - HEALTH INSURANCE BENEFIT
The Governing Board shall obtain health insurance for all full-time staff members in accordance with the plan described in the Center's Health Insurance Plan.
Those employees who have coverage through the employer of a working spouse may waive the Center's health insurance coverage. Those staff members who waive the insurance will be paid an additional annually compensation of $1,200 with the understanding that this additional compensation is subject to FICA and Federal, State, and local income tax. The waiver must be in writing and be accompanied by evidence of other health insurance coverage.
Staff members may either waive insurance coverage or revoke a previous waiver and thereby seek reinstatement on an annual basis in accordance with the procedure described in the plan.
