2280 - PRESCHOOL PROGRAM
The Governing Board recognizes a need to provide a preschool program to eligible children residing in its Educational Service Center and has obtained a license to operate a preschool program.
A child is eligible for entrance into preschool when s/he is three (3) years old. The child remains eligible until s/he is six (6) years old. If the child is six (6) years old after December 1st, s/he may remain eligible for the preschool program until the end of that school year.
Children eligible for preschool must be identified as being eligible for special services.
A typically developing child may be included in Center-based preschool classrooms on a first come first serve basis.
Parents of children enrolled in the program shall be permitted unlimited access to the school during its hours of operation to contact their children, evaluate the care provided by the program, the premises, or for other purposes approved by the director. Upon entering the premises, parents shall report to the school office.
Tuition and Fees
Tuition and fees may be charged to parents of preschool students.
The Superintendent is directed to establish written guidelines for the preschool program.
