2110 - STATEMENT OF PHILOSOPHY
The Mercer County Educational Service Center Governing Board views its function as one that assists local districts in reaching their educational objectives.
The Mercer County Educational Service Center Governing Board subscribes to the principle that, where local districts have needs which they cannot meet or that could more effectively and economically be provided through an intermediate agent, the Educational Service Center should be available to:
| A. | furnish such services on a "needs" basis, short or long term | |
| B. | assist in the development of or provide for "shared" services | |
| C. | organize and implement program on an area or regional basis that would benefit the local districts as well as adjoining city and exempted districts | |
| D. | offer specialized consultative, supportive and instructional services through a shared cost basis |
