4220 - EVALUATION OF SUPPORT STAFF
The Board of Education recognizes the importance of implementing a program of support employee evaluations for the purpose of promoting individual job performance and improving services to students and the District.
The structure of the evaluation plan shall:
| A. | involve support personnel in the evaluation and modification of the plan itself; | ||
| B. | group support staff into position classes based upon similarities of duties, responsibilities, and qualifications; the evaluation process shall be similar for all classes of support staff; | ||
| C. | provide a procedure for: |
| 1. | identifying and commending effective performance; | |||
| 2. | counseling and assisting support staff where improvement is desired; | |||
| 3. | releasing the ineffective support employee when counseling and assistance fail to produce effective performance; |
| D. | provide guidelines for annual review and modifications of the total evaluation system. |
The goals of the Board's evaluation plan for support staff are:
| A. | to improve and reinforce the skills, attitudes, and abilities which enable a support employee to be effective in achieving assigned job goals; | ||
| B. | to identify and remediate weaknesses which prevent a support employee from achieving the goals of assigned duties. |
The Superintendent shall prepare administrative guidelines for the conduct of support employee evaluations.
