3220.01 - EVALUATION OF ADMINISTRATIVE PERSONNEL

The continuing evaluation of administrative staff members is necessary to enable the Board of Education to monitor the effectiveness and competence of such staff members and to assist them in the improvement of their professional performance.

For purposes of this policy, "administrative staff members" shall be building principals.

The Board directs that evaluation of all administrative personnel be performed at least once annually. Each evaluation shall relate, but be limited, to the duties specified in his/her job description.

Each observation shall be followed by a conference between the administrator and the observer. Both parties to the conference shall sign the evaluation report and retain a copy for their records.
