6480.01 - CELL PHONE REIMBURSEMENT
The District recognizes the need for certain District employees to be provided a cell phone reimbursement for District use. This includes all daily required cellular telephone usage, as well as usage required during an emergency or crisis event in order to preserve the safety and security of students and staff.
The Superintendent and/or designee will identify employees who are eligible for a District cell phone reimbursement. Employee eligibility will be based upon work location, emergency response, and the necessity to be "on call". In addition, eligibility will be limited to employees in a managerial or support role when a critical component of their job responsibilities is contact with staff, colleagues, and other District stakeholders.
An employee who is eligible for reimbursement will provide a cellular voice number, which can be reached during normal working hours, during performance of their job requirements, and during off hours in case of an emergency. If it is determined that an employee is not fulfilling their obligations for reimbursement, reimbursement can be discontinued at any time.
The amount of the reimbursement will be $30.00 per day which will be added to the employee's W-2 at year end. This reimbursement will be effective January 1, 2009.
