4415 - SEVERANCE PAY

Employees of the C-Tec of Licking Co. School Board of Education may at the time of their separation by retirement apply for severance pay upon the following basis:

 A.Each employee with a minimum of ten (10) years service in the State Retirement Systems will be granted severance pay when officially granted retirement benefits by any of the State Retirement Systems.

 B.Said severance pay shall be calculated upon the basis of one-fourth (1/4) day credit for each accumulated day of sick leave up to a maximum established by the Board.

 C.Employee must apply within ninety (90) days of retirement to be eligible for severance pay.

 D.Such payment shall be based upon the employee's rate of pay at the time of his/her separation for retirement.

 E.Upon being granted severance pay, all previously earned sick leave is cancelled.

 F.Such payment may be made only once to any employee.
