4433 - VACATION
The Board of Education believes that it is beneficial to the District that personnel employed to work twelve (12) months per year be given periodic relief from the responsibilities of their job without loss of compensation.
Each regular classified employee serving twelve (12) months per year shall be entitled to an annual vacation, with pay, based on length of service in the District.
The Board reserves the right to specify the conditions when not otherwise covered by the terms of a negotiated agreement under which vacation time may be taken.
The Superintendent will develop administrative guidelines for this policy.
Vacations must be taken within one (1) year of the time earned.
Vacations will be granted only at times of the year when they will not interfere with the normal operation of the school.
Payment in lieu of vacation is prohibited.
Any classified employee who anticipates termination in this District may take accrued vacation prior to the termination date with proper approval as noted, ante. Unused vacation will be paid in full to the estate of a deceased classified employee and/or a retiring classified employee.
