3120.07 - EMPLOYMENT OF CASUAL RESOURCE PERSONNEL

It is the purpose of this policy to allow the casual employment of personnel in a consulting capacity for administration, in-service, or instruction.

In the general fund of the Board of Education, money is appropriated annually for special services. This might include resource persons in specialized fields of education that could offer consulting advice on the administration or instructional processes of the Career Center. The Superintendent or his/her designate, shall negotiate a reasonable payment with the resource person.

Specialists from industry, business, agriculture, or health occupation fields may be employed in a consulting capacity to assist with program planning, in-services, or directly in the instructional program. Teachers employed by the District may be used as Casual Resource Personnel, outside of their regular schedule teaching assignment, at the discretion of the Superintendent.

The Superintendent shall prepare administrative guidelines to promulgate this policy.

If a consultant's agreement with the District amount's to an aggregate of greater than $100,000 in compensation annually, the consultant must complete a DMA form with no positive indications that material assistance has been provided to a terrorist organization before the District enters into the contract (see Policy 8120).
