9800 - HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMAS TO WORLD WAR II, KOREAN CONFLICT, AND VIETNAM CONFLICT VETERANS
The Board of Education recognizes the service provided to the country and the individual sacrifices made by veterans of World War II, the Korean Conflict, and the Vietnam Conflict.
Since many of these veterans left high school in order to fight for their country, the Board may recognize their efforts by awarding them a high school diploma.
To be eligible for a diploma of any district that maintains grades 10 through 12, all of the following criteria must be met:
| A. | The veteran resided within an area currently within the District. | ||
| B. | The veteran either left school in order to serve in the armed forces of the United States. | ||
| C. | The veteran has not been granted a high school diploma. |
The Superintendent may establish administrative guidelines that are consistent with rules established by the State Board of Education and the Department of Veterans' Affairs.
