All support staff members not otherwise covered by the terms of a currently-valid, negotiated, collectively-bargained agreement of this District shall be entitled to the leave benefits which are not less than those provided in the master agreement with the Herrin Education Association, 1996-97, and the Local Union 372 of the Laborer's International Union of North America, AFL-C10.

All requests for unpaid leaves of absence by support staff members shall be presented to the Board of Education for approval. The Board may approve the leave and the terms of the leave in accordance with administrative guidelines.
