7550.01 - USE OF THE SWIMMING POOL BYTHE HARTFORD RECREATION DEPARTMENT

The Recreation Department of the City of Hartford, Wisconsin will assume all responsibilities for accidents and/or injuries while the Recreation Department of the City of Hartford, Wisconsin is conducting swimming programs at the Hartford Union High School pool, Hartford, Wisconsin. The Recreation Department of the City of Hartford, therefore relieves Hartford Union High School and its Board members of all responsibilities for accidents and/or injuries while the Recreation Department of the City of Hartford, Wisconsin is conducting any swimming program.

It is further acknowledged by the Hartford Union High School Board, the Hartford Common Council, and the Hartford Recreation Commission that the following agreements are made:

 A.That the rent for swimming facility usage at Hartford Union High School will be free.
 B.The residents of the Hartford Union High School District pay the same fee to swim at Veteran's Memorial Pool as the city of Hartford residents.
 C.That chemical and mechanical costs for the Hartford Union High School pool be absorbed by the high school.
 D.That salaries of persons working at the Hartford Union High School pool during Recreation Department programs be paid by the Hartford Recreation Department.
 E.That any profits made during recreation sponsored programs be shared equally by both the City of Hartford and the Hartford Union High School at the end of the season.
 F.That all bookkeeping reports for swimming programming be carried out by the Hartford Recreation Department.
 G.That hiring of all staff and scheduling of work be carried out by the Hartford Recreation Department.
 H.That Hartford Union High School have a custodian over eighteen (18) scheduled to work on the premises and that the Hartford Recreation Department be informed when one is not scheduled to work so that they can be sure that someone over eighteen (18) is on the premises.
 I.That the Hartford Recreation Department will be responsible for cleaning the pool deck area and locker rooms on weekends when a custodian is not on duty.
 J.That property damages to the Hartford Union High School while the Hartford Recreation Department is conducting swimming programs be the responsibility of the City of Hartford at amounts reasonably determined by the Hartford Recreation Director and Hartford Union High School Administrators. Any damages must be reported by either party within a reasonable time.
 K.That the Hartford Union High School will have priority when scheduling the use of the pool but will notify the Hartford Recreation Department in a manner that will allow enough time for the department to inform the public of the pool closing.
 L.That the Hartford Union High School be able to use teaching aide equipment from Veteran's Memorial Pool and that the Hartford Union High School be responsible for the use of the equipment while it is in their possession.

This agreement is subject to review by either party at anytime.
