2521.01 - SELECTION OF LIBRARY MATERIALS
The Board of Education shall provide library materials, within budgetary constraints, to implement the District's educational goals and objectives and to meet students' needs. The primary objective of such materials shall be to enrich, support, and implement the educational program of the school.
The District Administrator shall develop administrative guidelines for the selection and maintenance of all library materials and procedure for addressing complaints about library materials.
Students shall be held responsible for the cost of replacing any materials or properties which are lost or damaged through their negligence.
It is the policy of the Hartford Union High School District that no person shall, on the basis of age, gender, race, religion, ancestry, creed, sexual orientation, national origin, pregnancy, marital or parental status, or physical, learning, mental, or emotional disability or handicap, be excluded from participation in, have their rights be abridged or impaired, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program, activity or employment.
