The Board authorizes the establishment of a cash change fund by means of a check drawn on the schools extra-curricular fund in an amount designated by the principal. The fund shall be under the direction of the principal who may designate a building treasurer who shall be responsible for providing change as needed for athletic events, concessions, book fairs and other fundraising events and for the safekeeping and accounting of cash change funds in their possession. At the end of the event or sometime during the athletic season, a separate deposit for the initial amount must be deposited and not be comingled with other deposits so that the initial request is not able to be recognized. The Cash Change Fund is not to be used as a bank to cash checks for individuals who didn’t bring cash to school.
