6620 - PETTY CASH
The Board recognizes the convenience afforded day-by-day operations by the establishment of building petty cash funds. The Board shall require the imposition of such controls as will prevent abuse of such funds.
Petty Cash Funds may be used to pay for materials, supplies and expenses that are:
| A. | considered usual and legitimate expenses of the District; | |
| B. | needed immediately; | |
| C. | for small amounts or money, usually no more than $25 at any one (1) time. |
The custodian of each petty cash fund shall prepare a schedule of disbursements when the funds available in petty cash need to be replenished.
No Petty Cash Fund may be used to circumvent the purchasing procedures required by law and the policies of the Board.
