| Administrative Guidelines |
1230.01 - ADMINISTRATIVE MANUALS AND HANDBOOKS
To ensure that all manuals, handbooks, and booklets are appropriate, each must be consistent with applicable Board of Education Policies, adhere to the following guidelines, and be approved by the Superintendent.
Each manual or handbook should include the following types of information:

| B. | Table of Contents | ||
| C. | An initial section containing: |
| 1. | the purpose and goals of the program or service to which it relates | |||
| 2. | a listing of available resource people and/or documents for assistance and/or to obtain answers to questions or concerns |
| D. | One (1) or more sections containing essential rules, procedures, and/or guidelines the reader should follow to accomplish the purpose and goals stated in the document. | ||
| For each procedure, the following information should be provided: each necessary action, including needed resources, listed in proper sequence, and appropriate safety cautions and procedures. | |||
| E. | One (1) or more references including a Table of Contents and an Index, if needed and feasible. |
The information contained in the document should be clear and logically organized, accurate, and sufficient enough so that any intended user could adequately achieve the purpose for which the document was created, and reflect proper use and spelling of the English language.
