5514.01 - STUDENT USE OF MOTOR VEHICLES

The Board of School Trustees regards the use of motor vehicles for travel to and from school by students as an assumption of responsibility on the part of those students - a responsibility in the care of property, in the observation of safety rules, and in the display of courtesy and consideration toward others.

The Board will permit the use of motor vehicles by high school students, in accordance with the rules of this Corporation, provided that such students are licensed drivers.

The Board will not be responsible for motor vehicles which are lost, stolen, or damaged.

The Superintendent shall develop administrative guidelines for the operation and parking of motor vehicles and shall disseminate those guidelines to all students so affected.
