The Superintendent shall be responsible for the assignment and transfer of all professional staff members.

Teachers whose classes or sections are eliminated because of student enrollment will be given first consideration when a new class is created or when an opening occurs. All such teachers, with appropriate license, will be placed in a class or section before new teachers are hired. If it is determined before the beginning of school that the original class or section will remain open, then the original teacher may return to that position.
