It is the purpose of this policy to authorize an alternative to out-of-school suspension. The availability of this option is dependent upon the financial ability of the Board of Education to support such a program.

In-school restriction will only be offered at the discretion of the principal for offenses found in the Student Code of Conduct.

In-school restriction will not be offered as an option when, in the opinion of the principal, the offenses are criminal in nature.
