2440 - SUMMER SCHOOL
The Board of Education may conduct a summer program of academic instruction for resident students of this District.
Summer school instruction may be designed to provide opportunities for students to:
| A. | improve a poor grade; | ||
| B. | improve learning skills; | ||
| C. | make up a failed course; | ||
| D. | enrich a scholastic program; | ||
| E. | explore new academic areas. |
The Board shall approve a summer school program and employ teaching and administrative staff; purchase books, materials, supplies, and equipment as may be necessary; and provide necessary custodial services.
Fees may be charged for all students at rates in accordance with State guidelines.
With regard to transportation, the Board does not accept responsibility for any student.
The Superintendent shall be responsible for developing administrative guidelines which shall be consistent with Board policies.
