DISTRICT MISSION STATEMENT

Together with family and community, Farwell Area Schools will educate all students in a supportive environment, engaging them in learning through a variety of challenging experiences to ensure success in an ever-changing world.

INDICATORS OF SUCCESS

 A.Student Achievement

  1.Test Scores (MEAP, ACT/SAT, MLPP) (strategy: aligned curriculum)

  2.Retention Rates (reducing the numbers of students failing at any grade level)

  3.Graduation Rate

  4.Post-Graduation Plan (transition from school to work or post-secondary education) (increase in the number of students who have complete EDP plans, increase in the quality and alignment of EDP plans and post-graduation plans)

  5.Post Graduation Attainments (survey of what students are doing five (5) years after graduation)

  6.Advance Placement Opportunities: Dual Enrollment, MVHS, and A.P. courses – numbers participating and success rates

 B.School/Family/Community Involvement

  1.Collaboration (Increase in community, business, school partnerships)

  2.Communication (internal and external)

  3.Student Participation (increase in enrollment rates for students living in District and attending District school, increase in attendance rates, increase in student participation in extra-curricular)

  4.Parent Participation (increase in their help with their student’s learning and increase in their involvement in school activities)

 C.Resource Management
