The School Board recognizes the value to the Corporation to obtain the services of quality staff members who may not be available on a full-time basis but wish to offer their knowledge and skills part-time through a job-sharing process.

The Corporation will consider job share requests only if the cost (including benefits) of employing two (2) staff members on a half-time basis does not exceed the cost of employing one full-time staff member and in accordance with the negotiated agreement.

The Board authorizes the Superintendent to create a job-sharing program provided it does not impact adversely on the Corporation or any current staff member.
