9110 - PUBLIC COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS
The Board of Education, fully aware of its responsibility to represent the electors of the entire District in providing to every student the best possible tax-financed education within its means, encourages suggestions from the public which are intended to improve educational programs and other District operations.
"Public", as used in this policy statement, includes parents, students or other individuals residing in the area, and groups of such individuals serving the local community.
The Board directs that all ideas, comments, requests and suggestions intended to assist the Board in conducting its business but not complaints or grievances shall first be reviewed by the Superintendent, who shall then present all which merit Board consideration to the Board for possible action.
The Board, therefore, requests that persons wishing to present any such ideas, comments, requests or suggestions, take them directly to the Superintendent. In the event that any communication of this nature is received directly by any Board member(s), it shall be shared with the Superintendent prior to presentation to the Board or distribution to other Board members.
