2250 - INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS
The Board of Education wishes to promote the continued improvement of the instructional and curricular program of the schools through all appropriate means. The Board will encourage members of the school staff and of the student body who wish to pursue a promising program for school improvement.
An innovative program design shall address the steps below when appropriate to the project:
| A. | Rationale and whether any part or all of the program is in addition to or in replacement of any existing program; | ||
| B. | Specific objectives, emphasizing those not achieved by an existing program; | ||
| C. | Budgeting; | ||
| D. | In-service requirements; | ||
| E. | Plans for broader implementation; | ||
| F. | Methods for evaluation. |
Each innovative program shall be consistent with the District's objectives and long range plans. Programs designed for disabled students shall comply with Federal and State guidelines.
