9143 - FAMILY AND CIVIC ENGAGEMENT TEAM

The Board of Education shall establish a Family and Civic Engagement Team to serve as a continuing advisory group to the Board and administration.

The Team shall be composed of ten to fifteen (10 - 15) members and shall include parents, community representatives, health and human service representatives, business representative, and other representatives from within the District as identified by the Board.

The Superintendent shall serve as the chairman of the Team.

The purpose of the Team shall be to:

 A.work with the Muskingum County Family and Children First Council (R.C. 121.37) to recommend qualifications and responsibilities to be included in the job descriptions for school family and civic engagement coordinators;

 B.develop five (5) year family and civic engagement plans;

 C.provide annual progress reports on the development and implementation of the plan;
  The Board shall submit the plan and annual progress reports to the Muskingum County Family and Children First Council; and

 D.advise and provide recommendation to the Board on matters specified by the Board.
