4112 - BOARD-STAFF COMMUNICATIONS

The School Board desires to maintain and encourage open channels of communication between itself and the staff. The Board shall keep the staff informed of the progress and problems of the School Corporation, and the staff shall be urged, and expected, to bring their aspirations and concerns about the Corporation and its schools to the attention of the Board or its members.

For matters that require official Board action, the basic line of communication will be through the Superintendent.

 A.Staff Communications to the Board
  Requests for official Board action from staff members to the Board or its committees shall be submitted through the Superintendent. This procedure is not intended to deny any staff member the right to appeal to the Board on important matters through established procedures. The Superintendent shall keep the Board fully informed of the accomplishments, problems, and concerns of the staff.

 B.Board Communications to Staff
  All official communications, policies, and directives of the Board of staff interest and concern to the staff will be communicated through the Superintendent, who shall also keep staff members fully informed of the Board's problems, concerns, and actions.
