3142.01 - NON-REEMPLOYMENT OF ADMINISTRATORS

It is the desire of the School Board to maintain a cadre of highly competent administrators to provide the necessary leadership at the Corporation and school level. Only those so evaluated shall be retained by the Board.

The Superintendent shall develop administrative guidelines for the effective evaluation of all administrators annually.

If the services of an administrator are found, on the basis of evaluations, to be unsatisfactory, s/he shall be notified by the Superintendent and given an opportunity to correct identified deficiencies.

If the administrator's performance continues to be unsatisfactory, the administrator shall be notified, in writing, by the Superintendent no later than February 1st of the year his/her contract expires. Before giving written notice not to renew the contract, the Superintendent shall notify the administrator, thirty (30) days prior to the written notice, the Board is considering its option not to renew and the administrator has a right to a meeting with the Superintendent regarding the reasons for such action.
