5310.01 - COMMUNICABLE DISEASES
School Notification
This school notification statement shall be included in the Student Handbook:

The parent/guardian of the student diagnosed as having a communicable disease shall as soon as possible notify the building principal or the school health nurse or the Superintendent and so advise the school of the communicable disease. |
Health, Safety, and the Best Educational Setting
The best education setting (when taking consideration for the health and safety of all students) for a student with a communicable disease shall be determined within parameters set by applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations and guidelines, and by the coordinated efforts of the student's parents, physician(s), public health officer(s), and school personnel.
