The School District shall comply with the privacy standards of the Federal law known as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), effective April 14, 2003.

The Superintendent shall establish privacy practices and have the authority to appoint the privacy officer in order that the District comply with the regulations.
