7250.01 - STUDENT MEMORIAL

The Board of Education desires to afford parents an opportunity to dedicate a memorial to their child who passes away while they are a student in the District. The Board recognizes that such an untimely death has a profound impact on students and the entire community.

The following conditions shall be followed for such memorials:

 A.A student nominated for the memorial shall have been deceased for one (1) year.

 B.The nomination request shall be approved by parents of the deceased student.

 C.All requests will be accepted after being reviewed by an Ad Hoc Committee of the Board as meeting memorial criteria.

 D.A donation is encouraged to support the memorial but no request will be turned away due to the lack of funds.
