Administrative Guidelines
 

3214 - PARTIES, PROGRAMS, AND GIFTS

The following guidelines apply to all District schools:

 A.Parties: Individual classroom parties, surprise parties, or end of the year parties may be held at the discretion and with the permission of the building principal.

 B.Programs: Schools may provide for short programs at Christmas and other recognized holidays with informal invitations extended to family that may wish to attend.

 C.Student Exchange of Gifts: Due to the variety of home financial conditions and other problems created by the exchange of gifts, it shall not be allowed in the District.

 D.Treats: Treats are permitted at the discretion of the principal. It is recommended that the food and beverages served should reflect the nutritional practices taught in the curriculum.
