2105 - MISSION OF THE DISTRICT
The Board of Education believes that all students can learn; that students acquire, appreciate, and apply knowledge in different ways; that the responsibility for educating students is shared by all, including the community; that diverse instructional strategies and environments can improve and expand learning; and, that learning is lifelong.
The Defiance City Schools believe that to accomplish the vision it must:
| A. | provide a variety of delivery systems to address the different learning modalities and rates of our students; | |
| B. | strengthen and develop community involvement in the total educational process; | |
| C. | focus on developing confident, responsible, and independent learners who can communicate, solve problems, and work cooperatively and respectfully in a culturally diverse community. |
