8442 - ON-THE-JOB INJURY
Any employee incurring an injury while engaged in his/her performance of Corporation duties shall report to the principal's office and complete Form 8442 F1 before reporting to an approved physician. The only exception will be if the injury is of such a nature that it requires immediate emergency attention. In that case, treatment should be undertaken and a report of the accident made to the principal's office at the earliest opportunity.
If the Corporation does not believe the injury entitles the employee to receive worker compensation benefits, it shall so notify the employee and the Worker Compensation Board within thirty (30) days of the date at which the alleged disability begins, in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Board.
