Vacation and Holidays for Full-Time (12 month) Employees

All full-time employees are eligible for one (1) week of vacation with pay after the first year of employment, two (2) weeks after the second year of employment, and three (3) weeks after ten (10) years of employment. Employment must be continuous. Dates of vacations must be applied for in advance and approved by the principal and the Superintendent.

Eight (8) holidays are allowed with pay when the holiday falls within the regular workweek. They are New Year's Day, President's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Also, one-half (1/2) day is given on the eve of Christmas and New Year's Day.

Requests for the use of vacation allowance must be approved, in advance, by the immediate supervisor of the staff member requesting such vacation.

The immediate supervisor shall approved such request only if the absence will not interfere with the normal work schedule of the Corporation.
