It is the policy of the Board of Education that the annual budget proposal once adopted represents the position of the Board and all reasonable means shall be employed by the Board to present and explain that position to all residents and taxpayers of the community.

Each member of the Board shall be familiar with and understand the need for each proposed expenditure so that s/he can respond to questions about the proposed budget.

The proposed budget as accepted by this Board shall be set forth in detail in the form prescribed by the Bureau of Inspection and Supervision of Public Offices and shall be made available for public inspection in the office of the Treasurer no less than ten (10) days before its adoption.

The Board shall provide at least one public hearing of the budget of which public notice shall be given by at least one publication not less than ten (10) days prior to the date of hearing.
