It is the policy of the Board of Education to assess tuition charges for each student attending school in this District on a tuition basis in a manner that is fair and equitable and in line with statute.

Tuition may be assessed only for those students whose attendance has been approved by the Board.

It shall be the responsibility of the Treasurer to assess the tuition for approved students at a rate established by the State Department of Education.

Tuition rates shall be computed annually in accordance with law. Notice of tuition rates shall be given prior to the start of the school year in which they will be charged.

Tuition billings will be made monthly in advance of the billing period.

When payment of tuition by a parent or guardian is more than one month overdue, the attendance of a non-resident student shall be unauthorized, and services will be terminated.

Attendance for any fractional part of a month shall be regarded as attendance for a full month, except that when the annual session begins during a month or terminates before the end of a full month, tuition for those days during the month that school is in session will be prorated on a per diem basis.
