3154 - STAFF INFRACTIONS
In the event of an infraction of District administrative guidelines by a professional staff member, it shall be the policy of the Board of Education to apply the statutes of the State, these policies and the guidelines of the District with equal consideration to each professional staff member.
The Superintendent shall prepare disciplinary guidelines for situations most often encountered which provide for progressive penalties.
In the event it is necessary to take disciplinary action against a professional staff member, a notice in ordinary and concise language shall be sent to the professional staff member specifying:
| A. | the specific acts and omissions upon which the disciplinary action is based; | ||
| B. | a statement of the cause for the action taken; | ||
| C. | a date when the professional staff member may be heard if s/he so wishes. |
