7511 - BULLDOG ATHLETIC FACILITY USE AND ACCESS POLICY

The Columbus Grove Local School District (the "District") is pleased to be able to provide access to the Bulldog Athletic Facility (the "BAF"), which includes access to and use of the BAF's equipment. Access to the BAF is being provided via the issuance of a key.

Access to the BAF is a privilege, not a right, and as such it may be revoked by the District at any time and for any reason. The BAF and the equipment contained therein are the property of the District. In order for District employees to enjoy access to the BAF they must take responsibility for both the appropriate and lawful use of the same.

The BAF shall be used primarily for educational purposes. Uses that violate any Board policies or interfere with normal BAF operations or educational activities are strictly prohibited. The BAF and its equipment are intended only for use by authorized users. The District may impose restrictions on the use of the BAF in order to ensure maximum fairness to all users.

No District employee shall receive a key to the BAF until they have signed the Bulldog Athletic Facility Use and Access Agreement ("Agreement"). It is a material understanding of such Agreement that a District employee shall receive a key to the BAF solely in his/her capacity as a District employee and/or in order to fulfill legitimate job duties. Access to the BAF is not transferable and shall not be shared. No District employee is authorized to duplicate the key provided. Moreover, District employees are prohibited from lending or sharing their BAF key, or otherwise allowing anyone to gain unauthorized access to the BAF. Use of the BAF by third-parties is strictly prohibited. Unauthorized third-party users shall be considered trespassers on District property and may be subject to all applicable legal sanctions for such trespass. District employees are responsible for any violations of this Policy committed by someone who (with the employee's express or implied permission) accesses the BAF with the employee's key. The District employee may also be responsible for compensating the District for any losses, costs, or damages incurred by the District due to his/her violation of this Policy.

A violation of this Policy may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to restriction or termination of access to the BAF, and/or other discipline up to and including termination in accordance with District Policy, Rules, and Regulations. Trespassers may be referred to the appropriate legal authorities and/or other legal action may be pursued.

The District makes no warranties of any kind, either express or implied, in connection with its provision of access to or use the BAF to unauthorized users. The District shall not be responsible for any claims, losses, damages or costs (including attorneys' fees) of any kind suffered, directly or indirectly, by any unauthorized user or the unauthorized user's parents or guardians arising out of the unauthorized user's use of, or inability to use, the BAF.
