7510 - USE OF DISTRICT FACILITIES

The School Board encourages the use of District facilities and grounds for educational, civic, cultural, recreational, artistic and charitable activities and programs to benefit the community. To the extent practical, District facilities and grounds will be made available for public use when such use:

 A.benefits the school-aged children of Collier County or the general public;

 B.does not conflict with the District’s operations, programs, events or activities; and;

 C.is consistent with the vision, beliefs, mission, goals, objectives, policies, procedures and standards of the School Board.

In order to implement the direction of the Board and to recoup associated costs, the Superintendent shall establish and annually update administrative procedures, including a schedule of fees, for issuing leases for the use of District facilities and grounds. The use of District facilities and grounds may be restricted or discontinued in the event that such use is not properly supervised, has resulted in damage to District property, interfered with the operation of the school, or violated the conditions of the lease agreement. The District shall not be held liable as a consequence of permitting access to its facilities. The District will review all requests for use carefully to insure that the use complies with prevailing law and District policy.
