Petty cash funds may be established and maintained for individual schools in order to expedite the purchase of minor items. Petty cash funds shall not be used to cash checks.

Expenditures from petty cash funds must be documented with receipts and carefully itemized. A monthly report of petty cash expenditures shall be submitted to the business office.
