The Board of Education requires that each student enrolling in one of the District’s extra-curricular athletic programs agree to sign an enrollment application by which they agree to participate in a random, reasonable suspicion drug-testing program, conducted and paid for by the District, during the term of the program in which the student will be participating.

The Superintendent shall develop administrative guidelines which provide for a drug testing procedure that will produce consistently reliable test results and protect the student’s right to privacy.

Any student who tests positive for any drug other than a prescribed medication shall be referred and disciplined in accordance with due process and the Discipline Code adopted by the Board.
