Administrative Guidelines
 

7510A - COMMUNITY USE OF SCHOOL FACILITIES

General Provisions

Community groups shall be permitted to use school facilities when such use will not interfere with the school program. All arrangements shall be subject to the provisions which follow:

 

A.

Granting Approval

     
 

1.

The Superintendent and/or designee must approve all applications

     
 

2.

The Board reserves to itself the power to approve the use of school facilities by non-school organizations for profit making.

     
 

3.

The Board and/or designee reserves to itself the authority to waive a fee.

     
 

4.

There must be a responsible adult in charge of the group and present at all times. This adult will be required to sign the Designated Agent Supervisor Form.

     
 

5.

Pianos, chairs, P.A. systems, etc., should be requested at the time of making the request for the building.

     
 

6.

Organizations that use school facilities are to be responsible for the cleaning up afterwards.

     
 

7.

If the rooms or school area are not cleaned to meet the satisfaction of the school, the school will have it cleaned up and the organization will be billed the regular hourly rate of the school custodians.

     
 

8.

There is to be no smoking or alcoholic beverages on the school grounds.

     
 

B.

Rental Fees

     
 

Cafetorium -

$75.00 per hour

 

Cafetorium and Kitchen -

$100.00 per hour

 

All other areas of facility -

$20.00 per hour

     
 

All rentals will be charged a $40.00 open/close fee.

   
 

A $100.00 deposit will be required on all rentals. (This deposit will be returned if the room(s) are cleaned appropriately at the conclusion of the event.)

 

C.

Cafetorium Kitchen Policy

     
   

A member of the Britton-Macon Area School Food Service department must be in attendance at each event using the Cafetorium Kitchen. The rental group will be responsible for the payment of the Food Service employee's salary for the event.

     
 

D.

Outside Facilities

     
   

Rental to be determined based on the approval and authorization of the administration.

     
 

1.

Fee will be $20.00 per hour.

     
 

2.

Additional fees will be assessed depending on the cost incurred by the District to prepare or clean-up after the event.
